Mitchell Bryce Harris
FOREVER 22

1994 - 2016

The warmest smile; the kindest soul. In need of help. but none to be found. His mother's most favorite person in the world and a person full of love who was always there to help those in need.

Mitchell leaves behind a son who will now grow up without knowing the best things his father could provide to him, his love and his presence in his life.

It is unconscionable that a parent's best hope for help when a loved one is in the throes of addiction is that they are arrested and imprisoned. However, like many of us, it was his mother’s last resort in an effort to keep him alive after seeking so many other options and finding none available. And, even that hope was dashed as Mitchel overdosed on Fentanyl before his sentencing and passed away.

"There are only small windows of opportunity when someone is in a place where they are willing to accept treatment. It is unacceptable that wait times are months long. Not enough is being done for people with this illness." Says Mitchell's mother. "Changing the outcome of this scenario for others is my greatest wish."
